It never ceases to amaze me how much body roll and suspension movement you can get during a simple autocross.
And yes, that is an Oppo sticker you see on my quarter glass.

that pic makes me want to wrap my miata.

Believe it or not, that's not a wrap.

At lower speeds it's far easier to hit 1G loading, run vehicle dynamics simulation and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Yeah, I noticed I have a lot of body roll as well. Don't want to get coilovers though, the price and the ride are deterring me. I would get some KW V3s but thats seriously expensive.

what is your setup? My car rolled super bad NA 96 I put vmaxx classics and FM sways and now it is great!

Where'd you get that oppo sticker?..just curious

Straight stock. I've purposely not done anything to my car except change the tire pressure. You don't earn any points as a novice and the hardest component to tune is the one that sits behind the steering wheel, anyway.

yeah but its not like the car will stay stock will it? I think it might be easier to learn on a car that doesnt roll as much as mine. But I do see your point.

They guy on Etsy that made mine only did a limited run, but this guy still has some for sale.

I'm going to modify as much as I can for next season while still remaining in Street class (stiffer sway bar up front, disconnecting the rear sway bar, two-way adjustable coilovers, soft compound brake pads). There's no way in hell I'll be competitive without that.

If you can control body roll, you will 100x better without it!

Cool. And nice action shot btw!

I've been thinking about getting some adjustable Konis. Some say that you can adjust them to be comfortable for the street, but some people's definition of comfort might be different from mine.

Obviously I didn't take it, but that guy does it professionally.

Obviously. What suspension you running?

I am thinking about getting some stiffer springs which are more square on their rates all around then the stock ones, but that might be it for a while. I also want to get Konis, but you have to do a bit of modifying for them to be used, and I don't want to risk it on a DD.

Stock, hence the rolling like a shrimp boat in a hurricane.

That's what I thought; didn't want to say that and offend you haha. I'm running stock too, on my na.

this is why Im a bit afraid to autox my cube. Its wayyy too top heavy. Dont wanna flip it and it seems like flipping would be easy.

I obviously haven't done it myself, but various descriptions on the interwebz only talk about widening the center hole in the top shock mount from 10 to 12 mm.

I haven't driven a Cube, but I have driven some similar vehicles (Kia Soul, Fiat 500L) and I wouldn't be terribly concerned with rolling over. The built-in understeer in those cars will prevent that.

They see me rollin', they hatin'
